I started out like many children - dancing around and singing at family get togethers in my mom's living room. My mother always had the latest R&B albums and I would listen to these wonderful sounds while having fun with my relatives. My earliest memory of dancing and singing was around six.

Throughout my entire childhood I cherished music and would sing to songs at the top of my lungs and choreograph modern dance steps while I jumped around in the privacy of the living room. This love of music and performance led to me joining my J.H.S. choir. And as a native New Yorker, this naturally led to me applying to the LaGuardia H.S. of Music & the Arts. As a Classical vocal major, the world of music opened up for me.

I graduated as a Vocal Major from LaGuardia and earned a voice scholarship at Harlem School of the Arts, which furthered my studies. Bloomingdale School of Music was also contributed to my musical development. I have returned to these music schools as an adult, as they have greatly enriched my musical abilities.

Despite my love of, and passion for singing , I have strayed from my calling on more than one occasion. After meeting with many failures and internal fears, I had decided that I wasn't "cut out" to be a singer. It  has taken me many years to understand the words of motivational speaker Les Brown "I will fail my way to success." We have to make A LOT of mistakes before we get it right. And Dion Jordan is a motivational speaker who has impacted me the most in my life. He said " I may not be the best  __ [singer] (fill in your blank), but I have the potential to get better." Enough said.

Please join me on my journey to "get better" and fulfill my destiny of being the best singer I can be. I hope to add some delight to your life and add to your life experience. Enjoy!
